Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI SAT SUN 7:00am - 6:00pm

OVERVIEW:

Working as Full-time Financial Reporting & Regulatory Compliance Accountant, enjoy the opportunity to participate in a fast-paced work environment focusing on a variety of financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and analytical processes and procedures. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

o Preparing external financial statements and SEC filings, such as 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks and other reports, including XBRL and compilation of supporting documentation

o Establishing and documenting quarterly closing timelines and communicating this information to internal and external partners

o Assigning tasks and deadlines to gather information needed to compile reports

o Researching disclosure guidelines and consulting with SEC counsel

o Performing analysis of financial and operational data and compiling quarterly statistical information

o Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting period close activities, including reconciliations and account analysis

o Compiling and distributing documents to Audit Committee members, external auditors, and SEC counsel

o Responding to inquiries from internal stakeholders and external auditors

o Analyzing accounting processes to identify and implement enhancements to drive efficiencies related to systems and procedures

o Leading and completing special projects and other administrative tasks as assigned

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

o Possess a degree in an Accounting, Finance, International Business or Business Administration

o Excellent written and oral communication skills

o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

o Willingness to manage results driven projects

o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented

o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities

o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills

o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency

o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

o Work independently as well as in a team environment

o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork

o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

o Possess at least 3 years of related work experience

o Prior work experience in financial reporting and XBRL

o Familiarity using PeopleSoft and Workiva Wdesk systems

FULL-TIME BENEFITS:

Fastenal offers a competitive benefits package to all full-time employees. This package includes Health, Life, Long Term Disability, and Dental Insurance, in addition to, paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, and 401(k) with an employer contribution.

COMPENSATION:

The base pay range for this position is $42,000 - 52,500. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
