Customer Solutions Specialist

Role Mission
The Customer Solutions Specialist is responsible for preparing, processing, and submitting accurate quotes for our repair and rebuild projects. This will position will be trained by our most senior staff to go beyond standard customer service by assisting with technical and product support, managing key client relationships, and navigating the business sales process through our ERP system. The Customer Solutions Specialist role is key to ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and retention while driving business growth.
Key Job Responsibilities
Estimating & Quoting
- Analyze completed inspections and complex job requirements to develop accurate cost estimates for rebuilding motors, considering labor, materials, and overhead.
- Utilize existing work plans and collaborate with technicians, parts, and suppliers to obtain correct materials at the best pricing for estimates.
- Conduct thorough reviews of test data for completeness and accuracy, updating report links as needed.
Customer Solutions & Technical Support
- Provide prompt, professional responses to customer questions regarding estimates, products, and services.
- Resolve customer concerns or technical issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide learned technical and product support to clients, diagnosing issues and offering solutions related to motor performance and the rebuild processes.
- Attend high-level meetings, site visits, and client presentations as needed to represent the company and offer expert solutions.
Business Operations & Documentation
- Evaluate estimate accuracy, determining any discrepancies in material or labor costs, and updating work plans as necessary.
- Navigate and manage business sales transactions from quoting to order acknowledgment using the company's ERP system.
- Maintain comprehensive job portal files and documentation.
- Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and product innovations to continuously improve estimating and service offerings.
Competencies
- A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in a similar role with a background in navigating business sales transactions through an ERP system is desired.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating, customer service, or a related technical industry is preferred.
- Strong analytical, mechanical aptitude, and mathematical skills are necessary.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimating software, along with experience using a major ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
