JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assist in planning, development and coordination of a engineering project with personnel needs, and schedules.
* Product line specialist, functioning as engineering expert on assigned projects.
* Acts as a technical consultant assisting with solution presentation and assisting with site performance demonstration.
* Can perform as a staff advisor and consultant as to a technical specialty, for equipment or program function.
* Accountable for achieving all assigned project tasks and objectives within the established strategy, ensures functionality while meeting specifications.
* Ensures that project tasks assigned to others on a project are achieved within the established budget, schedule and priority.
* Responsible for engineering design reviews, ensuring fit, function and accuracy of engineering.
* Recommends changes in methods and procedures to achieve a more successful project completion or improve an engineering process.
* Keeps leaders informed on status of assigned projects with timely updates and alternate plan suggestions when outcomes cannot be achieved.
* Follows-up with other functional departments on project tasks assigned to him or those who he supervises to ensure critical job or project items are completed with the needed timelines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Supervision and guidance related largely to overall objectives, critical issues, and new concepts.
* Consults with supervisor concerning unusual problems and developments.
* Strong knowledge and experience with SolidWorks, EPDM, SAP, IES, other engineering support tools, and windows software.
* Working knowledge of mechanical components and systems, their uses and application in the manufacturing processes.
* Must be able to design, and produce assembly, and detail drawings, BOM, timing diagrams, and related project support documentation including design basis and theory of machine operation.
* Has good verbal and written communication skills.
* Must possess good interpersonal skills to promote the team concept required for quality order execution.
* On occasion coordinates the work of several other engineers.
* Typically requires a minimum of five to six years experience.
* Servo knowledge/experience is required
