JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for transferring materials such as ingredients from the warehouse to the production process and for transferring excess material back to storage. To keep accurate counts and maintain rotation in a sufficient manner on every stock item moved to and from the warehouse. Due to the dynamic nature of our business, duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at the discretion of management, formerly or informally, either verbally or in writing.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
|
- Responsible for stocking production lines, transferring ingredients and materials from and to the warehouse, loading/unloading materials as required (80%)
- To maintain stock rotation and accurate inventory of all ingredients by keeping accurate tally sheets, slot changes, shuttle transfers and data entry into the BPCS inventory system. (20%)
- The Forklift driver will sort and use only acceptable pallets for food grade applications
- To empty trash barrels, clean docks, and empty trash hoppers outside as required.
- Work as a team player with members of the crew and others in the plant
- Adhere to Red Gold policies, rules and regulations, including GMP's, SOP's, WIs, and safety.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
|
- High school diploma, General Education Diploma (GED) or equivalent experience
|
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
|
* Must be capable of operating a lift truck in a safe and efficient manner * Must be able to successfully use basic math and writing skills * Computer work needed * Team oriented * Able to work well with others * Multi-task oriented * Able to work 40 to 60 hours/week with occasional overtime to cover absenteeism and fresh pack requirements * Attend forklift seminar one day each year * Hands on forklift operator test
