Clariant is currently seeking a Deepwater Account Representative to support the Oil Services segment of our Care Chemicals business unit in Broussard, LA. This on-call sales position requires flexibility with variable hours and the ability to respond quickly to work obligations. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations at customer sites by diagnosing technical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and delivering exceptional service in offshore environments. The ideal candidate should bring demonstrated technical expertise in oil and gas, able to thrive in physically demanding outdoor settings, and able to maintain a customer-focused approach to field service. Responsibilities



  • Respond promptly to service calls and requests for technical support, including emergency situations, on offshore installations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing timely updates
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and service checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, product development, and customer support, to escalate and resolve complex technical issues
  • Represent Clariant with professionalism and integrity, maintaining a positive company image and reputation in all customer interactions
  • Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates on service status, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction with Clariant's products/services
  • Provide on-site training to customers on the proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Clariant's products/services
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working at customer sites, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others



Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering preferred, relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 1-3 years in oil & gas; offshore operator background a plus
  • Ability to work on-call shifts and offshore under strict safety protocols
  • Knowledge of oil & gas chemical production; comfortable in outdoor environments
