As a Security Professional - Shopping Center - Afternoon Shift in Torrance, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a bustling retail location. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct regular patrols throughout the property, remaining highly visible to help to deter potential security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to shoppers and staff. You will be a welcoming presence, ready to assist visitors with questions and deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining clear communication with both the public and your team. This position requires a valid driver's license, as you may be tasked with driving as part of your patrol duties. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or maintenance needs within the premises to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials when necessary, and maintaining a visible presence.
• Support Allied Universal in maintaining a welcoming and secure environment for tenants, employees, and visitors.
• Work collaboratively with location staff and local law enforcement as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
