Job Overview

Viracon is hiring Maintenance Technicians at multiple levels (C, B, and A) to join our night and day shift maintenance teams. These roles are essential in supporting the preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Working independently with minimal supervision, Maintenance Technicians keep equipment running safely and efficiently while supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
One position requires specific experience in forklift maintenance to support our mobile equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance such as lubrication, dismantling, cleaning, and inspection of parts.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild production equipment to minimize downtime.
    Maintain and control inventory of tools, supplies, and replacement parts.

  • Apply fabrication skills including welding (ARC, MIG, TIG), cutting, torch use, and grinding.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to guide repairs and installations.

  • Use electrical meters and apply basic electrical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment.

  • Assist in machine installation, assembly, and disassembly.

  • Design, install, and maintain basic plumbing or electrical projects.

  • Document all maintenance activity using Viracon's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

  • Work safely and use all required safety equipment in accordance with training and procedures.

  • (Forklift Maintenance role) Diagnose and repair forklifts and related mobile equipment to ensure safety and performance

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are hiring at multiple levels, with placement based on skills and experience:

Maintenance C Technician (Entry Level)

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Mechanical aptitude and experience with power tools or mechanical repair preferred.

  • Ability to read, write, and understand work instructions in English.

  • Familiarity with blueprints and basic troubleshooting.
    Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Maintenance B Technician (Intermediate)

  • Vocational/technical training in a related field plus 8 years of experience, OR 10+ years of maintenance-related experience.

  • Strong mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fabrication knowledge.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Proficiency in welding and general fabrication.

Maintenance A Technician (Advanced)

  • Vocational/technical training in a related field plus 8+ years of advanced maintenance experience, OR 10+ years of advanced maintenance experience.

  • Expert-level skills in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical diagrams.

  • Skilled in machine installation, rebuilds, and system upgrades with minimal supervision.

Pay & Schedule
  • Pay Range: $26.90 - $33.80/hour (based on level and experience)

  • Night Shift: 6 PM - 6 AM

  • Rotating 12-Hour Day Shift: 6 AM - 6 PM

  • Overtime and weekend hours may be required based on production needs.

Work Environment
  • Large-scale manufacturing facility with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and dust from production processes.

  • Frequent interaction with moving machinery and equipment under strict safety protocols.

  • Team-oriented environment with potential overtime, including weekends
