DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position you will supervise licensed and trained automotive and diesel mechanics who conduct a wide variety of analytical, preventative maintenance, and repair duties on a fleet of construction equipment, trucks, and automobiles. This includes hydraulic, electrical, heating, cooling, and exhaust systems; manual and automatic transmissions; and both gasoline and diesel engines. Your work will involve providing hands-on direction for the repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles, equipment, and tools, as well as planning and scheduling assignments. This includes overseeing mechanics who perform state vehicle inspections and accountability for quality and accuracy in the completion of work orders, time charged to repairs, and reports on all equipment accidents or damage. You will also be expected to evaluate the skill level of staff members and make recommendations on required training and opportunities to facilitate overall performance improvements for your team. We will rely on you to ensure garage repair facilities are maintained in clean and safe condition, project repair schedules are met with accurate and quality work, and that your team has the skills, assistance, and equipment they need to achieve these results. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four years of journey level mechanical experience in the diagnosis and repair of automobiles, heavy trucks, or construction equipment; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a valid PA Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with Air Brake restriction (L) removed, supplemented by Tank Vehicle Endorsement (N).
- This position requires possession of an active Class 4 or Class 7 Pennsylvania Inspection Mechanic Certification.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
