The Accessibility Specialist will play a critical role in advancing accessibility across the College of Graduate Arts & Sciences (CGAS). This position will develop, implement, and assess efforts to ensure digital and physical accessibility for all CGAS stakeholders. The Specialist will apply technical and subject matter expertise to support digital accessibility among faculty and staff, lead change management, ensure accessible event production and assistive technology platforms, and promote an access-driven work environment.This role will be both proactive responsive to evolving needs of CGAS, and will evolve accordingly. This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs. The anticipated hiring range is $80,000-90,000, commensurate with education and experience. This is an exempt-level, benefited position. Learn more about UVA benefits. This position is based in Charlottesville, VA, and is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days on Grounds per week, with additional on-site presence as needed, in accordance with UVA's remote work guidelines.
