Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX and Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to end users and respond to issues related to incidents and problem management for multiple applications, focus on leading triage activities on all business impacting incidents
- Ensure compliance with incident management and problem management policies and procedures
- Serve as a key focal point for the customer, client, and associate experience and restore any impacts to those experiences regardless of where the root cause of the impact lies
- Lead production support triage efforts, manage bridge line troubleshooting, engage in technical research, and escalates issues to leadership as needed
- Ensure all impacts are accurately recorded and documented in the system of record, verify documents and wikis are updated and available for use during triage, and support on call responsibilities for incidents, the documentation of application flows, impacts during outages, the customer experience, and contacts for support needs
- Provide status updates and technical detail for awareness communications, such as infrastructure, application and client impact, and component points of failure, oversees accuracy of all communications sent, and ensure any necessary reconvenes are scheduled
- Identify business impact, interpret monitors, dashboards, and logs, and write queries to accurately calculate and communicate impacts to leadership in partnership with senior team members or specialists within Technology Services
- Promote and enforce production governance during triage/testing, and identify production failure scenarios, vulnerabilities, and opportunities for improvement, determine appropriate actions, and escalate issues as needed
- Analyze, manage, and coordinate incident management activities to detect problems that potentially affect the service level
- Fulfill research requests, ad hoc reports, and offline incidents at the direction of senior team members or the Technology/Production Services teams
- Triage analysis with end-users including complex network environments and multiple application tiers
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring problems so they can be permanently remediated
- Respond, resolve and document progress within service tickets and problem tickets to adhere to SLAs
Requirements:
- 3+ years of production support experience, or equivalent
- L3 Production Services Specialist able to work independently and drive resolution of complex issues
- Strong analytical skills to determine root cause of technical application issues
- Able to think broadly about technical issues and correlate current conditions, historical trends and issues, and general incident triage techniques to pinpoint issues
- Previous experience with application performance monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, Glass box)
- Skilled with Splunk ecosystem and well-versed with building splunk queries
- Previous experience analyzing root cause for complex technical incidents
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written to multiple tiers of management is required
- An aggressive self-starter, motivated to learn new applications and technologies, accountable and a team player
- Basic UNIX/LINUX knowledge
- Knowledge of application architecture and networking concepts
- Working knowledge of Spring Framework development
- Working knowledge of Kafka pub/sub models
- Knowledge of contact/call center environment
- Knowledge of Load balancer LTM GTM
- Working knowledge of Angular, .NET, and Core JAVA /J2EE
- Expertise with various monitoring tools, such as Splunk, Glassbox, SiteScope, Dynatrace, etc.
- Working knowledge of MS SQL, Oracle technologies
- Working knowledge of Windows/desktop platform
- Ability to articulate problem/solution with clear and concise communication
- Able to participate or conduct conference calls with technology and business users
Desired skills:
- Ability to analyze Java heap and thread dumps
- Knowledge of Remedy or ServiceNow tool/processes
- Knowledge of Computer Telephony Integration
Pay Range: $58.26-$66.26
