We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Food Science Intern to join our R&D team for the summer.

Our South Brunswick location offers an intensive 10-12-week internship program, in which interns develop key projects and take part in a variety of learning activities. Your summer experience will go beyond a single department or lab with exposure to a broad range of scientific disciplines.

Where You'll Make a Difference

  • Assist in developing and testing new food formulations.

  • Conduct sensory evaluations and analyze consumer feedback.

  • Support shelf-life and stability studies under various storage conditions.

  • Maintain lab equipment and ensure cleanliness and safety protocols are followed.

  • Document experimental procedures and results in technical reports.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including C&D, marketing, and operations.

What Makes You the Right Fit

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in food science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, or related field

  • Have completed your sophomore year of undergrad education and will continue your education in the fall

  • Interested in human testing of flavors and fragrances

  • Must have strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Can work in an interdisciplinary scientific setting

  • High level of initiative and the ability to work in a team environment

  • Exhibit exceptional analytical instrumentation skills

  • Ability to document results, analyze data, draw conclusions, and communicate findings

  • Familiarity with theoretical and practical aspects in related area

  • 3.0 GPA or Higher

  • Outstanding problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams to deliver concrete project deliverables in a timely manner.
