The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a visionary and dynamic leader to serve as Athletic Director at our Prescott, Arizona campus. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of collegiate athletics at a premier institution known for academic excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive vision, policies, and programs that align with University values and comply with GSAC and NAIA regulations.
  • Fiscal Oversight: Lead budget planning and financial operations with a focus on responsible stewardship and long-term sustainability.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, hire, and supervise coaching and administrative personnel. Foster a culture of integrity, collaboration, and student-centered success.
  • Facility Oversight: Monitor and enhance athletic facilities to meet safety standards and elevate the student-athlete experience. Benchmark against GSAC and national standards.
  • Fundraising & Revenue Generation: Spearhead fundraising initiatives and develop innovative programs to support scholarships, facilities, and athletic programs.
  • Compliance & Integrity: Ensure all department activities reflect the highest standards of ethical conduct and support the University's mission.
  • Travel & Scheduling: Maintain a flexible schedule to support athletic events, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Frequent travel required for competitions and events.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Master degree
  • Proven leadership experience in collegiate athletics administration.
  • Deep understanding of NAIA and GSAC compliance standards.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing complex budgets.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student-athlete development and academic achievement.
