Responsible for the design, detailing, and engineering support of temperature and servo motion controllers in a production environment with a focus on 100% quality.

Job Responsibilities:

• Configure and Engineer temperature controllers from concept to release using CAD, and TeamCenter with a high level of attention to detail - Consistently delivering best in class engineering quality

• Understand controller specifications

• Run required power and sizing calculations

• Select standard parts and assemblies

• Engineer customer parts (typically sheet metal, wiring, and cables)

• Effectively manage time to produce designs on-time to production schedule

• Communicate professionally and effectively with all departments involved in a controller order, from Sales to Service.

• Provide outstanding support of the following areas by quickly and accurately addressing engineering problems and changes

• Controller assembly

• Executing customer changes at any point during production process

• After sales (service) support

• Identify gaps in established products and processes, and drive improvements to reduce risk of future Production Engineering quality issues, and improve on-time deliveries

• Support product launches, representing Production Engineering

• Follow established design rules and practices. Maintain thorough job file documentation

• Check others' work and make specific recommendations for fixes as well as improvements.

Requirements:

• B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred, or A.S. with at least two years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment

• Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles

• Strong time management skills
• Ability to work in environment with quickly changing priorities
• 3D CAD literate (NX experience preferred).

• Strong attention to detail and takes pride in producing quality work

• Fast learner, and able to listen and accept constructive feedback.

• Able to communicate well with others and convey ideas, both orally and written.
