Position Summary:

The Taps server is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the guest's experience. They maintain a clean and organized dining area while adhering to food safety and service standards. The server is our primary salesperson therefore, thorough knowledge of our menus is critical. We're looking for positive, outgoing, and energetic individuals who are willing to learn, practice and exemplify the Schweitzer culture of hospitality and teamwork while working in a fun, fast paced adult venue serving alcoholic beverages, and food.

Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:
  • Greet guests promptly.
  • Accurately take orders and deliver them in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor tables to ensure guests have everything they need, clear used dishware and glasses.
  • ID guests in accordance to Idaho state liquor and identification laws. Monitor guest intoxication and take action or get help, if necessary.
  • Present checks, process payments, and handle cash or card transactions accurately. Responsible for daily point of sale reconciliation. Responsible for bringing your own bank for cash sales.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dining area and follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Maintain a positive, upbeat, and energetic attitude toward guests and coworkers. Work as part of the team by assisting, communicating, and proactivity troubleshooting problems.
  • Responsible for staying busy during slow times and keep up on side work.

Secondary Responsibilities:
  • May work behind the bar pouring beer, bar back assistance or mixing drinks
  • May serve for group events and weddings
  • Other duties as assigned

Specific Job Skills:

License/Certifications - Idaho State Police Alcohol Beverage Training Certificate, we will help you acquire.

Technical - Basic computer knowledge and comfortable with a computer based point of sale (Squirrel is our current system).

Physical Capabilities - Able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Will lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally.
Additional - Strong attention to detail. Must be capable of managing and performing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Education/Related Experience:

Minimum education required - English reading, writing and communication; plus basic math.

Minimum time in related position - Minimum 1 year serving experience; beer knowledge preferred with demonstrated competence.
