Summary:

In this role, you will play a critical role in supporting strategic sourcing, contract implementation, and value realization initiatives. You will analyze spend data to identify contract opportunities throughout the recruitment, sales, and implementation phases. You will present findings to internal and external stakeholders and offer data-driven recommendations that directly impact financial outcomes. You will work independently and collaboratively as part of a high-performing analytics team, engaging cross-functionally with Sourcing, Implementation, and Member Delivery teams to provide actionable insights that drive value across a growing member base.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct complex financial analysis related to pricing, rebates, administrative fees, and distribution to uncover savings opportunities and competitive advantages.

  • Serve as a key analytical resource to support provider-specific opportunity assessments and performance evaluations.

  • Interpret and synthesize statistical analyses based on product and market knowledge to support decision-making.

  • Leverage deep understanding of GPO analytics to assess the non-pharmacy portfolio, with a focus on medical-surgical and physician preference item (PPI) categories.

  • Maintain up-to-date contract knowledge across Excelerate, Vizient, and competitor portfolios to support meaningful, accurate financial assessments.

  • Collaborate with Sourcing and Implementation teams to support new member onboarding and existing portfolio optimization.

  • Communicate findings clearly and persuasively to both internal stakeholders and member organizations.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree preferred.

  • 5 or more years of relevant experience required. Experience in healthcare supply chain analytics, GPO contracting, or cost management preferred.

  • Broad and diverse knowledge of healthcare products, categories, and services.

  • Strong project management, technical acumen, business analysis, and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated organizational strength in both written and verbal communication.

  • Self-motivated, action-oriented, and capable of independent problem-solving.

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment with a strong service orientation.

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI and MS Access required; experience with SQL query writing and VBA strongly preferred.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $68,500.00 to $116,300.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
