*This is a non-exempt role paying $27-$34/hour and can adjust based on experience. This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience.

Regular hours 6:30 - 3:00 M-F

Bi-weekly route to Utah - Sunday - Tuesday (overnight) 10% of time

Local Animal/Feed & Bedding routes (Denver, Boulder, Fort Collins) 30% of time

Warehouse/Office 60% of time

Job Purpose:

The Team Leader, Transportation Operations will oversee the Distribution Center to include warehouse and logistics responsibilities. They will report to the Regional Operations Manager to ensure timely and accurate operations for the site.Provide support for customers and site employees to proactively address concerns and solve complaints.

This job contributes to organizational success by:

  • Daily duties include overseeing all daily activities, assigning staff duties
  • Responsibility for the facility to ensure functioning to the applicable regulations and company SOPs
  • Overseeing company vehicles and ensuring operating in compliance with US DOT regulations
  • Guiding and motivating associates to enable them to work together and ensure they're delivering excellent customer service
  • Instill a safe working environment mindset
  • Respond to off-hour emergency calls when needed
  • Process, pick and stage customer orders, track shipments and answer inquiries on a timely basis, to ensure transport expectations are met
  • Drive delivery routes as scheduled and/or needed
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Strong knowledge of computer and data entry processes; Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook

Job Requirements:

  • CDL-B minimum requirement w/DOT medical card
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities under extremely busy conditions
  • Professional communication skills required must be able to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels and be able to build interpersonal relationships
  • Knowledge, familiarity and experience with inventory planning controls preferred
  • Desire to learn and perform new responsibilities
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be willing to work various shifts as needed
  • Forklift experience required
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn DOT rules and regulations preferred
  • Two year of transport experience
  • Experience with Samsara preferred
