Job Title: NDT Quality Test Specialist 4

Location: North Charleston SC 29418

Duration: 12 months assignment with possible extension

Shift Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Willing to work variable shifts, including weekend overtime rotations and occasional shift overtime)

Pay rate: $36/hr. on w2 without benefits

Job Description:

  • Performs setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment.
  • Develops procedures and processes. Performs tests or inspections and collects data.
  • Documents, analyzes and communicates results and assists with corrective action recommendations.
  • Provides feedback on adverse trends.
  • Responsible for non-destructive testing and acceptance of repairs to company products.
  • Conducts on-the-job training (OJT).


Required Skills/Experience:

  • Current or prior NAS410 or equivalent certified Level 2 in Ultrasonic Testing; must have documented evidence available.
  • Current or prior NAS410 or equivalent certified Level 2 in Eddy Current Testing; must have documented evidence available.
  • Must submit documented evidence of certification at time of application submission.
  • Willing to work variable shifts, including weekend overtime rotations and occasional shift overtime.
  • Capable of working in confined spaces.
  • 3+ years of experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection) or NDT (non-destructive test).
  • 3+ years of experience inspecting parts, components, assemblies, or units.


Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Current or prior NAS410 or equivalent certified Level 2 in Penetrant and/or Magnetic Particle and/or Radiography Testing.
  • Able to work from heights up to 55 feet.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting Ultrasonic C-scans.
  • Digital radiography, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle experience.
  • Able to fit through a 10'' X 18'' oval opening.
  • Experience inspecting composite material.
  • 3+ years of experience writing NDT procedures and techniques.
  • Understanding of Continuous Improvement methodologies.


Physical demands (if any):


  • Must be comfortable working in confined spaces.


Education:


  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+4 years' related work experience, 8 years' related work experience, etc.).
