Job Title: NDT Quality Test Specialist 4 Location: North Charleston SC 29418 Duration: 12 months assignment with possible extension Shift Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Willing to work variable shifts, including weekend overtime rotations and occasional shift overtime) Pay rate: $36/hr. on w2 without benefits Job Description: Performs setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment. Develops procedures and processes. Performs tests or inspections and collects data. Documents, analyzes and communicates results and assists with corrective action recommendations. Provides feedback on adverse trends. Responsible for non-destructive testing and acceptance of repairs to company products. Conducts on-the-job training (OJT). Required Skills/Experience: Current or prior NAS410 or equivalent certified Level 2 in Ultrasonic Testing; must have documented evidence available. Current or prior NAS410 or equivalent certified Level 2 in Eddy Current Testing; must have documented evidence available. Must submit documented evidence of certification at time of application submission. Willing to work variable shifts, including weekend overtime rotations and occasional shift overtime. Capable of working in confined spaces. 3+ years of experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection) or NDT (non-destructive test). 3+ years of experience inspecting parts, components, assemblies, or units. Desired Skills/Experience: Current or prior NAS410 or equivalent certified Level 2 in Penetrant and/or Magnetic Particle and/or Radiography Testing. Able to work from heights up to 55 feet. Experience analyzing and interpreting Ultrasonic C-scans. Digital radiography, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle experience. Able to fit through a 10'' X 18'' oval opening. Experience inspecting composite material. 3+ years of experience writing NDT procedures and techniques. Understanding of Continuous Improvement methodologies. Physical demands (if any): Must be comfortable working in confined spaces. Education: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+4 years' related work experience, 8 years' related work experience, etc.).
