Position Overview The Director, Screening Product Strategy will lead upstream product planning efforts for Exact Sciences' single organ cancer screening portfolio. This role is responsible for shaping the future product pipeline, guiding evidence generation strategies, and translating market insights into actionable product development and commercialization plans. The Director will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment across Research & Development (R&D), Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Product, and Market Access teams, and will play a pivotal role in defining the strategic direction of the single organ cancer screening portfolio and new single organ cancer screening products. Essential Duties Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop long-term product roadmaps, technology platforms, and commercialization strategies informed by market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and clinical trends.
- Build business cases for new product concepts and market expansion opportunities, including financial modeling and scenario planning.
- Lead market research initiatives to gather and synthesize internal and external Voice of Customer (VOC), segmentation insights, and disease state understanding.
- Identify unmet needs and emerging trends in cancer screening to inform product strategy and innovation.
- Partner with Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Marketing to define and execute evidence generation strategies, including clinical trials, research grants, and cost-benefit analyses to support product claims and product adoption.
- Translate clinical and regulatory requirements into commercial and product development deliverables.
- Serve as a strategic liaison between product strategy, product management and cross-functional teams including R&D, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, and Commercial.
- Ensure alignment on product requirements, product positioning, and the go-to-market strategy for launch readiness.
- Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), clinicians, and external partners to validate strategy and support adoption.
- Represent the product strategy function in internal forums and external engagements.
- Effectively manage, support, and guide your team, including, but not limited to, delegating tasks and responsibilities, assessing employee performance, and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree (MBA, MPH, etc.) in business, marketing, life sciences, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in product strategy, upstream marketing, or product management within healthcare or diagnostics industries.
- 5+ years of experience leading people and/or projects.
- Proven success leading cross-functional teams.
- Proven success developing product strategies from concept to launch.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cancer diagnostics or screening technologies.
- Familiarity with evidence generation and clinical trial design.

Salary Range: $182,000.00 - $309,000.00
The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible.
