INTERNSHIP - Fluids Software Engineer

Role Descriptions & Responsibilities
As a Fluids Software Engineer intern within the physics research team, you will be helping to industrialize a novel application. The group has developed a modeling and simulation methodology for a vertical application in the healthcare industry. You will help the team with the rollout of this product and process. Some of your responsibilities include the following:

  • Evaluate and establish some IP Protection measures for code and data associated with the code.
  • Installation of license manager software.
  • Enable different/new OS builds, and IP protection measures into a build and packaging system.
  • Help on software industrialization of a new PowerFLOW vertical application

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in a US Master's or PhD program, or recent graduate of such programs, fluent in Python and C++. Completed bachelor degree in
  • Computer or Computational Science. Capable candidates that display relevant skills may also apply.
  • Knowledge/experience on software development best practices, including packaging, installation, source code management, unit/regression/coverage/performance testing, QA, Operating system porting, encryption best practices etc.
  • Knowledge of scientific visualization, VTK, and QT is a plus.

This is a paid six-month internship/co-op. You will be working on a hybrid schedule in the Dassault Systemes office located in Waltham, MA.
Compensation for this role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $22 and $40 per hour.
