About Duke Health's Patient Revenue Management Organization

Pursue your passion for caring with the Patient Revenue Management Organization, which is Duke Health's fully integrated, centralized revenue cycle organization that supports the entire health system in streamlining the revenue cycle. This includes scheduling, registration, coding, billing, and other essential revenue functions.

This position supports the DUH ED.

It is a level 1trauma center that operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. The PRMO is responsible for ensuring all patients who present are registered timely and proficient manner. The DUH ED sees an average of over 6,000 patients per month. This FCC would work from 6 pm-6 am, Friday through Sunday, and is responsible for arriving patients, trauma patients, EMS patients completing full registrations at bedside, eligibility and benefit verification, POS collections, reconciliation of daily collections, work queues to include patient and claim edits, a nd functions for DukeED and hospital admissions after North closes. Cover for HIM after hours and schedule appointments for eye and ortho patients. Not filling this position may adversely impact DUH ED due to longer wait times, reduced collections, work queue backlogs, and a reduction in work culture.

Education

Work requires knowledge of basic grammar and mathematical principles normally acquired through a high school education, with some postsecondary education preferred. Additional training or working knowledge of related business.



Experience

Two years of experience working in hospital service access, clinical service access, a physician's office, or billing and collections. Or, an associate's degree in a healthcare-related field and one year of experience working with the public. Or, a bachelor's degree and one year of experience working with the public.
