Summary of the Job:

As a Scrum Master within First National Information Technology group, you will be accountable for building high performing Agile teams and ensuring the completion of Team deliverables. The individual in this position provides the leadership and experience to enable the team to develop goals, identify and remove impediments, work collaboratively across the organization, coach their team and the organization, manage execution and help mitigate risks.
Scrum Masters do more than just facilitate Agile ceremonies, they promote an Agile mindset and lead continuous improvement within FNBO's delivery system.

About This Role:

Agile Facilitation

  • Facilitate agile activities and meetings - including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint demos, and retrospectives
  • Guide the team on Agile principles and values to enable and promote self-organization
  • Ensure tools and processes are documented and available for team use
  • Coach your team and the organization on Agile mindset and methodology

Product Delivery

  • Work with Product Owners to understand the product road-map, priorities, and schedules to guide delivery
  • Lead team to make realistic and achievable delivery commitments using standard agile metrics and reporting techniques
  • Manage execution for your team
  • Solicit and use input to evolve the delivery system to improve velocity and quality

Team and Stakeholder Management

  • Build and support a strong team dynamic where people thrive and inspire each other
  • Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders to manage expectations
  • Manage dependencies across the organization
  • Proactively identify, track, and resolve impediments that could impact team velocity

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze and present team metrics to demonstrate progress and identify improvement opportunities
  • Facilitate data-driven decision making using velocity, burndown charts, and other relevant metrics
  • Coordinate with other Scrum Masters to share best practices
  • Champion agile transformation beyond the team level

Technical Skills

  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and technical practices (CI/CD, automated testing)
  • Data analysis and metrics interpretation
  • Knowledge of various Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)

  • Team facilitation and coaching

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

  • 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master
  • 5+ years of relevant IT or Product experience including strong understanding of customer/stakeholder relationships, business analysis, estimation and prioritization of work
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum methodology and Agile principles
  • Strong leadership and team building capabilities including coaching, guiding and supporting team members
  • Proficient in conflict resolution
  • Problem-solving mindset with ability to identify and remove impediment
  • Strong, effective communication skills, ability to bring multiple roles and personalities together to work towards a shared goal
  • Knowledge of other Agile methodologies (Kanban, SAFe, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience promoting agile engineering practices

Desired:

  • CSM, CPO or PMI-ACP Certs
Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $88,067.00-$145,309.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.

Work Environment:

It is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-person collaboration three (3) days a week with remote flexibility two (2) days a week. As part of our team, you'll experience the energy and relationship-building of face-to-face collaboration while still enjoying the flexibility of remote workdays. We provide the tools and technology to ensure seamless transitions between work environments, supporting your productivity wherever you are. Please note that work location is subject to change based on business needs.
