Genesis10 is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a 6+ contract position with a manufacturing client located in Oshkosh, WI. Summary: The Mechanical Engineer will design and develop reliable, cost-effective components for heavy-duty vehicles. This role focuses on engineering analysis, component design or redesign, and supporting the integration of components into both existing and new vehicle platforms. The position is ideal for an early-career engineer looking to build skills under the guidance of senior engineering staff. Responsibilities: Perform engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks under close supervision, adhering to industry and company standards. Support senior engineers in preparing plans, designs, methods, and reports. Assist on projects of limited complexity in a support capacity. Collaborate with internal engineering teams, business units, and external suppliers. Communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and outside resources on technical issues. Ensure compliance with engineering criteria, drawing standards, and company policies. Evaluate designs for safety, performance, and reliability. Prepare layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material. Conduct analyses to support the selection of parts, materials, and components. Provide technical support to production for non-complex issues. Resolve engineering issues and communicate status updates. Prepare technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations. Apply mathematical and analytical methods to model system performance and optimize designs. Maintain project documentation for research and historical use. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. Internship experience or 6+ months of related work experience. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle systems. Proficiency with advanced CAD tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
