Department (OPH) CCH - Division of Chronic Disease PreventionJob Description: Responsibilities The Bureau of Cancer Prevention and Control runs the State's Cancer Services Program (CSP), a set of statewide community-based contractors that offer cancer screening, diagnostic and treatment services to uninsured and underinsured New Yorkers who are less likely to receive screenings and who experience cancer disparities. The CSP increases the number of individuals who receive timely screenings and potentially catches cancer early when it is more treatable. Health Research, Inc. is seeking a Senior Contract Coordinator. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting in the coordination of and/or contributing toward the development, review and negotiating of contract work plans and budgets; coordinating contractor training and contributing toward the implementation of the Cancer Services Program Operational Guidelines, contributing toward program monitoring and clinical performance measures; collaborating with Bureau staff and evaluators to develop and contribute toward the monitoring of performance improvement plans, verifying implementation of guideline concordant clinical services offered by a sufficient network of clinical providers to meet the needs of the eligible client populations within the contract service areas, coordinating with data staff to ensure contractors provide accurate and complete data;and working with communication and education staff to ensure successful implementation of community outreach activities. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience in contract coordination, contract administration or closely related experience; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and four years of such experience; OR six years of such experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience. Preferred Qualifications
Conditions of Employment Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Travel up to 25% of the time will be required. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.
