Job Description:

TITLE: Industrial Engineer III

EMPLOYER:Airbus Americas, Inc.

LOCATION:Mobile, AL

DUTIES:Determining the most effective and efficient ways to manufacture an Aircraft. Developing the most efficient ways to use people, machines, materials and information. Developing management control systems. Applying statistical methods and performing mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards. Assisting in financial planning of project implementation and cost analysis for the business case of respective new technologies. Designing production planning and control systems for the introduction of new technologies and serial process run. Designing methods to ensure product quality of an aircraft. Evaluating effects of product design changes for management review, action, and control. Coordinating quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost of the industrial system. Conducting technical risk assessments, managing mitigation plans, and implementing permanent solutions.

REQUIREMENTS:5 years in any job title involving experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment within the Aerospace industry. Prior experience must also include: Project management experience implementing new aircraft manufacturing technology; Working with drilling robots through gated milestone; Applying Production aviation rules, Quality aviation rules, and Risk Assessments using PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) principles; Experience in lean manufacturing in the manufacturing or assembly environment; Providing Industrial System recommendations for Operations sequences under consideration of Standard Line Balancing methods; and Testing the Industrial System Manufacturing Line design through pilot cases and qualification campaigns. Up to 5% domestic and international travel required for industrial test campaigns and Airbus internal expert exchanges for best practices.
