The Quality Assurance Engineering focus specializes in debugging software using automated tests to achieve quality standards for firm products. Executes test plans to ensure program functionality. Consults development engineers to address issues. Provides feedback for evaluation of programming languages, systems, and computation software.

Responsibilities

  • Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for firm products

  • Develops, modifies and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing

  • Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures

  • Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software

  • Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action

  • Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems

  • Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems and computation software

  • Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition and processing

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science preferred

Vision:

  • Close vision

  • Ability to adjust focus

  • Peripheral vision

  • Ability to distinguish colors

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand for long periods of time

  • Extensive time in front of LCD's and Electronic Gaming Machine screens

  • Repetitive motion to open heavy Electronic Gaming Machine doors

Work Conditions:

  • The ability to move between projects with little notice and the ability to adapt quickly

  • Overtime and weekend hours may be required to meet project schedules

  • Limited travel may be required
