Position Overview
We are seeking highly motivated candidate interested in learning more about Cancer diagnostic products to join our Product Development team dedicated to developing an MRD assay for cancer care. As a key member of the product development team, you will play a crucial role in supporting various aspects of research including sample processing, NGS based workflow development, and data analysis. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of scientists and learn from them. You will be part of our work towards helping cancer patients by monitoring their disease and supporting treatment decisions.

Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Good academic understanding of Biology, Chemistry or Biochemistry, self-motivated, organized and able to work as part of a team.

  • Prior experience in Molecular Biology lab techniques.

  • Human specimen processing for nucleic acid isolation.

  • Create detailed experimental plans, notes, and summaries.

  • Assist other team members as necessary.

  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.

  • Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.

  • Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.

Scheduling requirements:

  • Full time/On-site

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 50% of a typical working day.

  • Ability to work standing for approximately 50% of a typical working day.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for approximately 5% of a typical working day.

  • Ability to grasp with both hands; pinch with thumb and forefinger; turn with hand/arm; reach above shoulder height.

  • Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements.

  • Ability to use various types of laboratory equipment; including automation and pipettes for extended periods of time.

  • May perform repetitious actions using lab tools.

  • Ability to use near vision to view samples at close range.

  • May be exposed to hazardous materials, tissue specimens, and instruments with moving parts, lasers, heating and freezing elements, and high-speed centrifugation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Biology, Chemistry or Biochemistry.

  • Preference giving to candidates with a record of outstanding academic achievement.

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with DNA or RNA sequencing workflows.

  • Data analysis skills and basic knowledge of Python/R is a plus.

  • Experience in an academic research lab.
