Description

The Technology Advancement Team Lead is a key role in MidFirst's Center for Digital Advancement, working with Technology Advancement Analysts and other team members to accomplish the Bank's Digital strategy and goals. Leading a team of analysts, the role ensures alignment between technology, business and risk priorities, as well as managing allocation and focus for various resources across lines of business. The team lead should develop a strong understanding of the Bank's operations, systems and strategy to effectively guide and develop their team.

Essential Functions

Team Leadership & Development:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technology advancement analysts, providing guidance on priorities, performance, and strategy. Establish clear objectives, fostering collaboration between business, technology and support groups to ensure the successful implementation of projects and initiatives.

Emerging Technologies Research:

Continuously monitor industry trends, fintech innovations, regulatory developments, and competitor analysis relevant to the Bank's business units and product offerings. A strong ability to summarize findings into easily-understandable reports, and comfortable with sharing findings with an executive audience.

Implementation Support:

Partner with corporate technology, risk, compliance, and supplier management stakeholders to assist with technology reviews. Support business unit projects through vendor evaluation and due diligence processes, performing project management and product ownership roles including project planning, cost-benefit analyses, and RFP development.

Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement:

Serve as a key point of information and collaboration for business leaders, cultivating valuable insights and skills. Communicate the group's purpose and vision clearly and confidently to principals within the business and technology, engaging senior leadership regularly.



Other Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Entrepreneurship, Economics, MIS, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering. MBA or other (preferred, not required)
  • Proficiency in data analysis, process mapping and requirements gathering
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards
  • Passion for emerging technologies and their application in financial services
  • Demonstrated success leading teams that bridge business needs with technology solutions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at senior levels
