About the Team:

The Solution Sales team members act as domain expert sellers of the Medidata Clinical Cloud. Our expertise is leveraged by Account Managers at key inflection points in the sales cycle. Beyond driving incremental revenue for the organization, we set the tone in the marketplace for the Data Experience strategy and the Medidata Platform. The Solution Sales Specialist, Data Experience role will focus on on Imaging, Electronic Health Records, and Link- Medidata's Realworld Evidence solution as well as other solutions that make up this experience strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • This position requires a seller whose a builder who can create strong working relationships, processes and outcomes.
  • Use Competitive Intelligence to understand the strategic direction of clients and align/propose how our solutions can help them achieve those goals.
  • Drive quarter over quarter incremental revenue for the Medidata Data Experience solutions
  • Collaborate with Pre-Sales, Marketing, Product Strategy, Product Management and Professional Services to qualify opportunities, continue to build product momentum and increase Medidata Rave Imaging market share
  • Work in concert with Account Managers to execute on sales strategies, in part, by presenting and evangelizing the value of Medidata's solution directly to CROs, Sponsors and Core Labs.
  • Assist Account managers and Market Development teams in speaking with prospective customer teams such as Image Management, Data Management, Clinical Operations, IT, etc.
  • Help support, establish, and manage quarterly Field Marketing activities for the Rave Imaging Solutions (including - webinars, conference attendance/presentation, customer and industry events)
  • Help support, establish, and manage quarterly Product Marketing activities (including - white papers, press releases, search engine optimization, case studies, etc.)
  • Design talk track for email / cold call campaigns to be used by both Inside Sales and Market Development
  • Partner with Global Learning & Development to develop and deliver training offerings to grow the solution area with the direct Salesforce and partner teams.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Sales background. Comfortable leading sales campaigns and bringing creative sales ideas to a startup-like team
  • Knowledge of the biopharmaceutical clinical trials R&D process, including CROs, medical imaging and the Core Lab landscape
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences or Life Sciences, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience, with knowledge and experience in the life sciences industry - especially in the clinical development area.

The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $135,000-$155,000.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
