Millwright Apprentice



Program Overview:


Our program is a 4 year program that consists of 7,200 hours on The Job Training (OJT) and up to 875 Related Supplemental Instructions (RSI) hours. Classroom (RSI) time may take place after hours or on the weekends.


Pay and Benefits:

The hourly rate for the apprentice position is $32.14.


Employees (and their dependents) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, basic life, and disability insurance coverage, subject to applicable waiting periods. Employees are automatically enrolled in PCA's 401k retirement plan at the time of hire. Employees are eligible for 40 hours of vacation after one (1) year of service and between 0 and 36 hours of vacation during their first year. Employees also receive nine (9) paid holidays and up to five (5) paid floating holidays per calendar year.

This is a union environment. Employees will receive all of the rights and benefits associated with union membership when they join our mill facility.



Qualifications:


* Be at least 18 years old


* Have a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent


* Be physically capable of lifting 50 lbs. and performing trade work (with or without accommodation)


* Pass the 15 Dot Test Battery, which includes:



  • Mechanical Principles
  • Numerical Ability
  • Space Visualization
  • Visual Speed
  • Vocabulary


* Hold a valid driver's license


Other Requirements:



  1. Complete and pass a background check and urinalysis test
  2. I9 employment verification
