Hours:

Monday - Friday: 8:30 am - 6:00 pm

Saturday: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

(Additional hours as necessary to meet the objectives of the department)

Function: The incumbent has relationship and administrative management responsibility for assigned fiduciary and/or investment management accounts including but not limited to trusts, guardianships, estates, and investment management accounts. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for customer servicing, account retention and business development. The incumbent may have supervisory responsibility for one or more Administrative Assistants for Trust. This position serves as the fiduciary tax subject matter expert which includes reviewing, approving of all fiduciary tax returns for Trust.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administers professional services on assigned fiduciary and investment management accounts. Professional services may include investment management, liquidity and risk management, tax planning, inheritance and estate planning, and financial planning.

  • Ensures compliance with all banking and fiduciary regulations, bank policies/procedures and departmental policies/procedures.

  • Maintains profitability for the assigned client base and assists with the overall profitability of the division.

  • Meets with clients and prospects to explain the available services. Maintains calling protocols and records all required information on the contact management system/trust account system per procedure.

  • Pursues business development through expanded relationships with existing clients and new relationships with prospects. Also pursues business development through centers of influence (primarily attorneys and accountants) in the market area.

  • Cross-sells or refers to appropriate business lines of S&T Bank.

  • Develops and maintains industry expertise.

  • Assists with training new employees and cross training existing employees as needed.

  • Participates as an active member of assigned committees or working groups which may include Fiduciary Committee, Trust Operations Enhancement workgroup, conversion teams and or special projects.

  • Participates regularly in community and business activities to enhance the image and position of Trust, leading to potential new business.

  • Responsible for establishing and enhancing Trust Administrative procedures and forms as necessary.

  • Serves on the approval team for discretionary requests, special account reviews and conducts the secondary review of all Administrative Reviews in the trust accounting system.

  • Maintains advanced knowledge of trust accounting and tax processing software.

  • Maintains a good working relationship with all bank employees. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, as well as, motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and the organization.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education:

Requires a four-year degree or equivalent. Preferred certifications CFP, CTFA, CFP - one of the 3 designations within 18 months to 2 years.

Experience:

More than ten years of of general experience and five to ten years of specialized experience required. Fiduciary Tax Knowledge is required.

Physical Demands:

Operates a keypad device 60-70% of the day. Operates office equipment 20-30% of the day. The primary parts of the body involved in performing these tasks are the fingers, thumbs, hands and wrists and elbows, lower torso. Traveling to alternate work locations 20-30%. Overnight stays 10-20%. Sitting is required 60-70% per day. Standing 10-20% per day. Walking 10-20% per day. Routinely lifts 0-10 lbs. 0-10% per day.10-20 lbs. 0-10% per day.
