Job Summary

Loudoun County's Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services is in search of qualified individuals for the role of Data Analyst. The Data Analyst role offers diverse program support and aids in the evaluation and enhancement of processes for the department. This role oversees the systems and databases of the department; it involves the development and generation of reports utilizing software such as MS Power BI and other reporting tools; the collection and analysis of data; the evaluation of projects; the creation of reporting tools and manuals; the management of databases for performance metrics; the development and analysis of surveys; the monitoring of local, state, and national indicators; the provision of reports to the department's Leadership Team regarding operations and the Strategic Plan; and/or the formulation of recommendations for improvement initiatives and departmental objectives.
We are currently hiring for the following location(s): * PRCS, 742 Miller Drive, SE, Leesburg, VA
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Implements data quality management. * Performs assessments of projects; recognizes, examines data, and generates reports. * Delivers data and information while creating reports and conducting data analysis. * Monitors the outcome measures for the Department; submits quarterly reports that encompass essential information regarding program operations; evaluates operations, trends, gaps in the continuum of care, utilization rates, and training requirements; and offers recommendations to address these issues. * Utilizes SQL to retrieve and extract data, followed by performing data cleaning, manipulation, and analysis using Excel and Power BI.
* May carry out additional critical job responsibilities pertinent to the specific role and departmental assignment.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, Public Health, or related field; two (2) years of related work experience in research methodologies, such as using SQL to build queries and statistical software packages such as SPSS to conduct data analyses, preferably in conducting program evaluation and managing outcomes for community-based programs or social sciences; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
