The Revenue Management Analyst Intern is a detail-oriented thinker and excellent communicator who is ready to help improve Southwest Airlines' overall revenue and success. Additional Details:

Revenue Management Internships are available across multiple teams within the department, such as Pricing, Yield Management, Revenue Performance & Analysis, and Operations Research. This internship will support the Reporting Performance and Analytics (RP&A) Team. Pricing The Pricing Team is responsible for setting pricing structures to optimize performance and drive consumer demand. Many Pricing Teams work together on high level projects to generate incremental revenue for all our flights which include the Operational, Strategy & Initiatives, and International Teams. Internship focus and projects will include but are not limited to: defining and filing price structures based on competition, customer willingness-to-pay, customer segmentation, price elasticity, seasonality, etc.You will develop and implement revenue strategies and link your decisions to overall business initiatives using data from multiple sources. Tools: Microsoft Suite, Alteryx, DiioMi, AirVision Fares Manager, ATPCO, Amadeus Reservation System Yield Management The Yield Management team forecasts the demand for passenger bookings and determines the number of seats available for sale at each price point. Internship focus and projects will include but are not limited to: market research and analysis, developing and implementing revenue management strategies, creating queries and tools to support business decisions and processes. Tools: Microsoft Suite, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, DiioMi, Revenue Management Forecasting System Revenue Performance & Analysis The Reporting Performance and Analytics (RP&A) Team builds the monthly passenger revenue forecast for Revenue Management. They provide insights into key demand drivers and their implications on the overall business. Internship focus and projects will include but are not limited to: analysis and identification of system-level revenue and booking trends, evaluating industry performance, and variance-to-forecast gap analysis with communication opportunities to senior leadership.
