What to Expect
The Service Training Developer will design, author, and maintain technical and operations focused training content that supports scalable and effective workforce development across the North American Service organization. This role requires strong instructional design capabilities and a deep technical curiosity. You will collaborate closely with engineers, service experts, and program leads to transform complex processes into intuitive, high-impact learning experiences
What You'll Do
- Develop technical and operational training content (video, simulation, eLearning) for Service
- Translate engineering documentation and SME knowledge into structured and scalable learning experiences
- Partner with service engineering, product development teams, and field technicians to review and ensure accuracy and relevance of training materials
- Use learning management systems (LMS) to author, manage, and deliver content at scale
- Conduct job/task analysis to align training with real-world workflows and field needs. Apply instructional design principles to enhance retention and hands-on mastery
- Continuously iterate training based on learner feedback, product updates, and service trends
- Assist in creating certification pathways and assessments for various technical roles. Support pilot programs and onboarding sessions to validate training effectiveness
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design/related field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience designing technical training or service documentation, preferably in automotive, robotics, or automation industries
- Strong knowledge of technical writing, instructional design, and media development tools (Articulate, Adobe CC, Camtasia, etc.)
- Experience creating training for hands-on, high-complexity environments. Excellent collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical teams
- Comfortable working with automotive or robotics systems, tools, and service procedure. Familiarity with 3D modeling, AR/VR training platforms, or simulation-based training is a plus
- Proficiency with LMS platforms and SCORM/xAPI standards preferred
