About the Role Eagle Hill is proactively recruiting experienced Change Management Consultant Managers and Senior Managers for roles supporting the change management component of a large technology modernization program in the federal sector. This role requires the ability and willingness to travel Monday through Friday to client locations across the United States, based on project needs. Travel cadence will vary; however, candidates must be available for weekly, on-site work as determined by the client and project schedule. Responsibilities
- People Leadership & Team Management
- Manage and mentor a team of consultants, ensuring quality delivery, professional growth, and effective collaboration.
- Set priorities, delegate responsibilities, and oversee day-to-day work execution.
- Foster a positive team culture, providing coaching, feedback, and performance guidance.
- Risk Management & Strategic Issue Resolution
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; escalate critical issues appropriately.
- Anticipate challenges and proactively design strategies to resolve them.
- Balance immediate problem-solving with long-term change sustainability.
- Strategic Change Management Delivery
- Lead stakeholder engagement activities such as interviews, workshops, and readiness assessments aligned to the change strategy.
- Oversee development of change impact analyses and integrate findings into stakeholder engagement and readiness planning.
- Partner with program leads to align change management milestones with overall program schedules.
- Facilitate and participate in client-facing meetings to drive alignment, surface risks, and support adoption readiness
- Support client workshops and workgroups; synthesize outputs and translate insights into tactical change actions
- Represent the change management team across key program forums to promote awareness and integration of change activities
- Project & Program Management
- Manage project schedules, deliverables, and resourcing for change management workstreams.
- Ensure alignment of change activities with overall program governance and timelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation for reporting and accountability.
- Executive Engagement & Communication
- Present confidently to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Build and sustain trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders to enable influence and partnership
- Build relationships with stakeholders to assess readiness, address resistance, and promote system adoption
- Coach executives and supervisors to effectively sponsor and sustain change.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent the change management function in program forums and governance meetings.
- Drive adoption readiness by fostering collaboration, building buy-in, and addressing resistance.
- Leverage data-driven assessments and stakeholder feedback to refine change strategies.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree
- Ability for travel, Monday-Friday, to work on client locations throughout the United States, as required by the project
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years of management or team leadership experience; must include change management, stakeholder engagement, communications, and management
- Familiarity with formal change management frameworks such as Prosci
- Demonstrated ability to implement change management strategies in client delivery environments; qualifying experience may span management consulting, professional services, or other directly comparable roles. While academic study and conceptual understanding of change management are valued, role requires a minimum of five years of hands-on, applied professional experience in the field
- Proven track record in developing relationships, gaining trust, and building credibility with clients and stakeholders
- Proven track record of people management, including supervising, coaching, and developing teams
- Experience executing change management plans and developing associated deliverables
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze issues and develop tailored, actionable solutions
- Strong executive presence with experience presenting to and engaging senior leadership; excel at communicating, facilitating, and presenting across all levels of an organization
- Empathetic, collaborative, and inquisitive mindset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Technical aptitude; able to quickly learn and support new technology platforms
- Flexibility and resilience in navigating change, ambiguity, and evolving project needs
- US citizenship and the ability to successfully complete and retain any company, federal, or other background investigations required to perform client work
- Eligibility to obtain a Tier 3 Public Trust clearance is required for this position
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting or leading complex, large-scale technical change management initiatives, ideally in federal health, healthcare IT, or similarly regulated industries
- Experience working within hospital or healthcare facility settings
- Prosci or CCMP certification preferred
- Experience conducting readiness assessments, stakeholder analysis, communications, training design, and metrics tracking
- Demonstrated ability to apply data analysis to inform and refine change strategies
Compensation: A reasonable expectation for a starting salary range is: $117 - 130K. This range is reflective of the DMV (District of Columbia/Maryland/Northern Virginia) job market and will vary based on applicant's residence. When extending offers we consider level of experience and location.
