In this position, you will be instrumental in ensuring the acquisition of essential machinery, equipment, and services, directly impacting our operational efficiency and strategic growth. * Strategically review and optimize supplier relationships based on critical factors such as price, quality, selection, service, support, and availability.
* Approve the procurement of high-quality goods and services, ensuring optimal pricing and correct quantities.
* Manage the full lifecycle of procurement, including approving purchase orders, soliciting competitive bid proposals, and reviewing requisitions.
* Guide internal teams in resolving issues related to undelivered goods, ensuring smooth operations.
* Provide expertise and instruction on effective negotiation, renegotiation, and administration of contracts with suppliers and vendors.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to address defective or unacceptable goods and services, determining and implementing corrective actions.
* Continuously evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with obligations and identify opportunities for beneficial changes. **Required Skills & Experience:**
* Bachelor's degree in finance or a related business field preferred, or equivalent professional experience demonstrating strong computer proficiency and business writing skills.
* 3-5 years of supply chain related experience.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
* Proven negotiation and interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships with internal and external partners.
* A positive attitude, strong customer service orientation, and excellent collaboration skills.
* Demonstrated drive to support a large organization, with a hands-on approach to your work.
* Ability to analyze complex financial reports, price proposals, and other technical data.
* Proficiency in accurately documenting and recording information.
* Solid knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to purchasing.
* Strong understanding of supply chain management principles.
* Proficiency with common computer applications, including word processing and spreadsheet software. **Nice-to-Have Qualifications:**
* Direct experience in construction materials management, procurement of equipment for large-scale infrastructure projects, or as an electrical equipment buyer.
