Job Overview:
Reporting to the Manager of Technical Support and Field Service, this position is responsible for providing post sales subject matter expert technical support and training to authorized channel partners on Gardner Denver Blower and Vacuum products.

Principal Responsibilities:


  • Leverage contact management capability to provide problem-solving technical support interaction with channel field technicians in support of resolving complex product and system issues impacting our customers.


  • Knowledge Article management execution to improve technician effectiveness with faster access to solutions and knowledge base such as technical bulletins, fault trees and troubleshooting guides to ensure field personnel have access to latest updates and reference data.

  • Pro-active approach to resolving customer issues, taking responsibility to lead as required to drive corrective actions and follow through to conclusion.

  • Participate in training process improvement initiatives by assisting in design, development and delivery of training materials including presentations & workshops

  • Communicate with peers, Engineers, Operations, and Management to understand product specifications and root causes of issues.

  • Required to make technical assessments in complicated product issues, write and edit detailed technical reports.

  • The position requires travel as required, approx. 15% of time.

  • Requires direct customer contact, needs to be confident, courteous and professional in all situations.

  • Load repetitive quality and reliability issues into the Quality & Reliability Management System (QRMS).

  • Engaged in New Product Development activities such as design and serviceability, field trial testing with feedback, field upgrades training / technical support capability of new technology.




Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree or relevant technical and work experience equivalent.

  • 5+ years' experience in a technical work environment.

  • MS Office skills - proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word is essential

  • Presentation skills - customers, channel partners, management, and peers.

  • Experience and ability to work effectively, acting on own initiative with minimal supervision.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
Up to 25%, with the possibility of some international travel.

Pay:
The pay range for this role is $65,000-$85,000 annually. The pay range considers a wide range of factors that include a candidate's skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location.
