Responsibilities

The intern will join the State Farm Agency Recruiting team, a dynamic and innovative group focused on leveraging social media and content creation to enhance brand awareness, engage potential agency candidates, and drive business growth. This environment encourages creativity, autonomy, and data-driven decision-making, offering a unique opportunity to contribute directly to recruitment success while collaborating with diverse internal and external partners.

As a Summer intern in this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Collaborate on planning and executing social media campaigns that highlight agency recruiting successes and align with business objectives.
  • Analyze campaign performance data, including metrics like click-through and conversion rates, to generate insights and recommend optimizations for improved ROI.
  • Research and integrate emerging social media trends and tools to keep strategies innovative and effective.

Agency Social Media Intern responsibilities may include the following:

  • Specific projects may include developing content/material for internal & external audiences
  • Creating visual and written content for multiple social platforms
  • Tracking and reporting on key performance indicators, and participating in team strategy sessions
  • Social Media Engagement data capture and storytelling - dashboard, etc.
  • Training will focus on social media marketing best practices, data analysis tools, with emphasis on cross-functional collaboration.

What You Can Expect:

  • Summer Internship Dates: 6/01/2026-8/07/2026
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 38.75 hours per week
    • Due to the short duration of the summer program, it is an expectation that hired interns will be available for the duration of the summer internship with little to no disruption in work schedule.
  • Pay: $22.00/hour. In addition, interns selected for our summer internship program will be eligible for a $2,000 stipend (minus applicable taxes)!
  • Work Arrangement:
    • Selected interns should plan to spend time working from home and some time working in the office as part of our hybrid work environment. Please note that relocation benefits will not apply.
    • Selected interns must reside within the continental U.S. for the duration of the summer internship.
  • Location: Bloomington, IL


Qualifications

We Are Looking For The Following:

  • Majors in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related fields.
  • Experience or coursework in Digital Media, Graphic Design, Social Media Marketing
  • Previous coursework or internships involving content creation or marketing
  • Strong business communication, creativity, resourcefulness, and writing skills
  • Visual design skills and strategic thinking
  • Experience managing social media accounts or campaigns, creative writing
  • Experience with social media management tools and analytics platforms
  • Proficiency with social media platforms and basic data analysis
  • Self-Disciplined with schedule and time management
  • Organization, attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Proactive with strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work well in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt well to a fast - paced environment
