Operations/Systems Engineer

Sabre Systems is seeking a highly motivated and experienced part-time Operations/Systems Engineer. This position is expected to apply robust systems engineering processes, working closely with the customer and end-users to develop requirements and to participate in building the systems associated with a tactical fire control system. The position will interface with other engineering functional areas (i.e. Software Engineering, Test, Configuration Management, Training, and Safety) and technical personnel from various external organizations to clarify program intent, identify problems, suggest changes, and develop and document final solutions. The selected candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Assess operational performance criteria and provide input for improving performance.
• Develop requirements for weapon systems integrated with air, land and sea platforms
• Execute systems engineering best practices for requirements definition & decomposition, design and implementation of customer & end-user requirements.
• Develop and communicate system plans, progress and performance results both orally and in writing.
• Develop solutions for SW centric projects including concepts and requirements for Graphical User Interfaces

Requirements:

• Two (2) years or more of experience in Weapon System development.
• Two (2) years or more of experience in military operations.
• Experience with requirements management, system design, integration, and testing.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong understanding of Weapon Control System technologies and principles.
• Experience with weapon systems integration on air, land, and sea platforms.
• Excellent communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher and be able to maintain the clearance.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Compensation:

At Sabre Systems, LLC, compensation is based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, and contract-specific requirements. The general salary range for this position is $160,000.00-$175,000.00; however, final compensation will be determined by individual qualifications and applicable contract terms.
