Description
The IS Project Manager II will provide day-to-day management of IT and construction-related projects, with a primary focus on projects involving construction, renovation, expansion of facilities, or creation of new hospital service lines. This includes managing EHR workflow builds and changes to accommodate new or expanded services, ensuring alignment between clinical operations, IS, and construction activities. The PM will also be responsible for managing other IS projects as assigned, overseeing risk management, stakeholder communications, and interdependencies across initiatives.
- Provide project management leadership for construction-focused projects, including coordination between IS, Facilities, vendors, and clinical/administrative departments.
- Manage IT-related project implementations, including requirements gathering, scope definition, risk management, communications, and stakeholder engagement.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource allocations, and reporting.
- Identify risks, barriers, and interdependencies across projects; propose mitigation strategies to leadership.
- Ensure alignment between IS and construction deliverables, including infrastructure, networking, hardware deployment, and clinical systems integration.
- Drive timely resolution of issues by coordinating across Facilities, IS, and external contractors.
- Support the IS PMO in developing standards, best practices, and process improvements.
- Manage other IS projects outside of construction as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree (Required) Or 1:1 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Minimum Work Experience Five (5) to seven (7) years of IT project management, product design, or related experience (Required) And
Required Skills/Knowledge
- Duties and tasks are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment.
- Fully competent in own area of expertise.
- May have project lead role and or supervise lower-level personnel.
Functional Accountabilities - Coordinates work performed by IT staff and internal customers/partners by defining project specifications, performing feasibility and needs/impact assessments.
- Develops detailed project plans and manages all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training and on-time delivery within budget constraints.
