About this Position

ChristianaCare is searching for a Communications Coordinator to develop effective multimedia messaging and communication strategies for ChristianaCare internal communications, collaborating with partners in External Affairs, Human Resources and stakeholders system-wide to support an informed, engaged workforce that receives the right information at the right time and through the right channels. The coordinator additionally supports the logistics and functions of ChristianaCare's video studio, which is led by ChristianaCare's producer. The Communications Coordinator works in a fast-paced environment with health care experts and an innovative, multidisciplinary communications, marketing and public relations team.

Working as a key contributor on the Editorial Team, the Communications Coordinator manages ChristianaCare's internal communications platform (CaregiverConnect) and the weekly email employee newsletter (CaregiverConnect Weekly); and develops and implements communications plans for key internal projects and programs. The coordinator supports the Communications team with written and visual assets, copyediting and proofreading. This is a hybrid position.

This role involves management, development and daily publishing of internal communications; proactive interaction with leaders and employee groups across the organization; and performance measurement to identify data-driven opportunities and develop strategies for continuous improvement in employee communications.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

  • Writes, edits and produces high-quality content to support system communications needs for employee audiences.
  • Works at the direction of the Editorial Services Manager and in collaboration with other members of the team to produce compelling multimedia content.
  • Holds primary responsibility for daily management, analytics and optimization of CaregiverConnect internal communications platform.
  • Produces CaregiverConnect Weekly, the all-employee email newsletter.
  • Assists with pre-production needs, such as audio and set design and script writing in the ChristianaCare broadcast studio.
  • Assists with production in the ChristianaCare broadcast studio focused on internal communication messaging.
  • Assists with coverage and promotion of internal events.
  • Works in collaboration with other members of the team to maximize reach of content.
  • Focuses on strategic continuous improvement of employee communications.

Education and experience requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Candidates with degree in public relations, journalism, communications, digital media, media studies or English preferred.
  • Three years of corporate communications, public relations or journalism experience, with a demonstrated ability to write and edit compelling, impactful content required.
  • Experience in developing and producing multimedia content required.
  • Experience in broadcast production preferred.
  • Experience in copy editing and proofreading required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
Annual Compensation Range $49,608.00 - $74,422.40 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
