Your Role at Baxter
The Shipping Coordinator plays a vital role in the logistics and supply chain management of our organization, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of products to customers. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with exceptional organizational and communication skills, capable of navigating the complexities of shipping operations. The Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all shipping activities, tracking inventory, and maintaining effective communication with both internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adept at problem-solving, ensuring that all shipments are processed efficiently and in compliance with industry regulations.

Cleveland's technology and automation is innovative. It is the U.S. sole source for plastic pour bottles, glass IV, and various reconstitution devices. This facility produces a number of major product lines with a diverse array of automated manufacturing technologies ranging from bottle solution filling, injection molding, tubing extrusion, and device assembly. What you'll be doing:
- Oversee accurate tracking and management of inventory levels specific to shipping.
- Ensure that materials are correctly labeled and prepared for shipment, maintaining the integrity of inventory data.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure that inventory is available for shipping and that discrepancies are addressed promptly.
- Work closely with demand planners to align shipping schedules with production needs and customer orders.
- Monitor shipping timelines and adjust plans as necessary to meet changing demands.
- Communicate with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of materials needed for production.
- Analyze shipping costs and identify opportunities for cost savings in transportation and logistics.
- Implement practices to minimize damage during loading and unloading, thereby reducing costs associated with returns or replacements.
- Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to ensure shipping costs align with budgetary constraints.
- Coordinate the allocation of shipping resources, including transportation vehicles and personnel, to optimize delivery schedules.
- Ensure that shipping resources are used efficiently to meet delivery deadlines without compromising quality.
- Work with production teams to align shipping resources with production schedules.
- Generate and analyze shipping performance reports to track efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
- Report on shipping metrics such as on-time delivery rates, shipping costs, and inventory turnover to management.
- Ensure that all shipping activities are documented accurately for compliance and performance evaluation.
- Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, including customs documentation and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping transactions and inventory movements to support audits and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Lead initiatives aimed at improving shipping processes, such as reducing lead times and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to identify bottlenecks in the shipping process and implement solutions.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback from team members and stakeholders.
What you'll bring
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- AS in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is a plus.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain roles.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and shipping software.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in specific industry (e.g., manufacturing, retail, e-commerce) may be required or preferred.
- Strong knowledge of logistics software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, inventory management software).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to analyze shipping data and generate reports to inform decision-making.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions quickly.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $32,000 - $44,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than that of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
