Material Handler

Position Summary: This position is part of the warehouse operations team, which will perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping orders, driving the company truck and organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Prepares orders by processing requests
• Process, pack and ship orders accurately
• Prepare outbound shipments for shipping internationally and domestic
• Transfer of internal orders and materials
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, power pallet jacks, etc
• Ability to drive a non-CDL truck is a must
• Able to use warehouse WMS and ERP System
• Unloading trucks, stocking materials
• Wrap and prepare large shipments
• Maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse (i.e. sweeping/cleaning of floors, removal of trash and warehouse equipment; as needed)
• Assist with monitoring environmental conditions in the warehouse and other areas, as needed
• Follow all safety protocols, warehouse procedures, and company policies
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Ability to work at both locations as needed

Qualifications Required:

• High School diploma with 1-2 years' experience
• Team player, ambitious, detailed oriented, person that is self-initiating and accountable for their work assignments
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to drive truck (non-CDL)
• Basic math skills. Must be able to read and write in English
• Ability to understand different measurements. Example: meters, feet, kilograms etc
• Proven work experience in a warehouse setting
• Familiarity with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other necessary warehouse equipment
• Ability to skillfully and safely operate a forklift
• Solid communication skills and inventory skills
• Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions
• Demonstrated ability to effectively work cross functionally with other departments
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Able to lift up to 50+lbs, stand for long periods of time
