Summary:
Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients. Acts in lead capacity to other nursing staff.

Essential Functions:
-Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and records.
-Administer medication to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
-Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
-Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
-Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.
-Demonstrates best practices for staff to follow.
-May participate on teams or perform special projects/assignments.

Education
Associate's Degree Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support [ACLS] - Generic - HR Only preferred Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred Oncology Certified Nurse [OCN] - Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) preferred Neonatal Advanced Life Support [NALS] - American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred

Experience
Clinical nursing experience 2-3 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment.
- Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups for which care is being provided.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships.
- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
