Langley Federal Credit Union is currently hiring for a Full Time Head Teller to work in person from our Aberdeen Branch located in Hampton, VA.

Job Summary:

Oversees the Teller line operations of the branch, directly supervising Tellers and Senior Tellers. Maintains overall responsibility for cash operations within the branch, including adherence to Credit Union policies, regulatory compliance, and effective use of resources to provide impeccable service to Langley members. Provides ongoing individual coaching to ensure their team continually develops their skills in offering and educating on Langley's products and services.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:



  • Supervises operational and administrative activities, including payroll, scheduling, balancing, opening, and closing.
  • Provides security overrides to other staff, ensuring adequate control of transactions.
  • Assists with escalated member situations.
  • Drives branch results that align with the achievement of Success Sharing goals.
  • Supports and coaches the sales and service culture at all times by providing individual and team coaching weekly and monthly.
  • Delivers ongoing feedback on staff performance and development.
  • Fosters teamwork by professionally interacting with peers, supervisors, and other Langley employees.
  • Participates actively in cross-departmental collaboration to ensure effective and efficient communication.
  • Participates in the ongoing evaluation of processes and procedures to ensure the member experience is met.
  • Processes new accounts, additional share types, and IRAs following policies to ensure BSA and US Patriots Act laws are followed.
  • Processes consumer loan products and services, including personal, auto, home equity line of credit, and credit cards, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and credit union policies and procedures.
  • Processes all types of transactions for members, including balance inquiries, transfers, payments, loan advances, account openings, and all other requests.
  • Assists members with all account and loan-related service needs, including offering financial advice to improve their financial well-being.
  • Complies with all Credit Union policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Works at other branch locations as needed.



Qualifications:



  • A bachelor's degree in a related field, four years of experience in a financial institution, face-to-face customer service, or sales experience, including cash handling, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
  • Two years of senior teller experience required.
