As Sr. Project Manager (Category Management Team Lead), you'll lead the Category Management workstream for the Department of the Air Force, advancing spend strategy, uncovering data-driven insights, and identifying efficiencies that enhance mission effectiveness. - you will support strategic communications by preparing reports, briefings, and other materials for senior Air Force leadership.
- you will lead the Category Management workstream, ensuring alignment with DAF CM principles and program execution.
- you will develop and maintain Category Charters, Strategic Plans, and Execution Plans.
- you will oversee spend analysis, market research, and business case assessments to identify cost savings and efficiencies.
- you will utilize data analytics, visualization tools, and emerging technologies to extract insights and support decision-making.
- you will integrate generative AI and automation to streamline category management processes.
- you will facilitate workshops, stakeholder engagements, and produce in-depth category reports.
- you will engage with senior Air Force leaders through clear presentations and reports.
- you will provide project management oversight to ensure timely delivery of milestones and reports.
- you will collaborate with teams and leadership to incorporate best practices and DoD strategies.
- you will support strategic communications by preparing materials for senior leadership.
What you'll need to succeed:
- an active SECRET clearance (Interim SECRET acceptable).
- a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field.
- a PMP Certification (Project Management Professional).
- a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in program or project management with demonstrated experience leading large-scale initiatives.
- a strong background in spend strategy, data analysis, and using analytics to identify efficiency opportunities.
- experience supporting Category Management, ITBM (IT Business Management), acquisition strategy, or strategic sourcing in a DoD/Federal environment.
- a proven ability to work directly with senior executives and senior government leaders.
- exceptional communication skills-verbal, written, and presentation-critical to success in this role.
- an ability to work onsite at the Pentagon full time.
SALARY RANGE: $140,000 - $170,000 The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
- The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
- The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
- Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
- This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
- Performance-based bonuses
- Company-paid training and/or certifications
- Referral bonuses
