As a Process Technician Supervisor, you will be playing a critical role on the Fremont Powertrain Production team. You will lead a dynamic team of process technicians while managing rework operations and driving metrics in critical areas of the Manufacturing floor. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with our manufacturing and operations teams, interfacing with Engineering, Quality, Production, MRB and Material Flow, to ensure production goals are being met in a cost-effective manner.The key performance metrics you will be responsible for are scrap reduction, rework cycle time, yield and safety.


What You'll Do
  • Build a strong, motivated team of technicians capable of consistently delivering high quality rework against aggressive metrics. Empower the process tech team to collaborate with engineering to improve product manufacturability and line productivity
  • Monitor defect trends and escalate to responsible engineering, quality, and production teams
  • Develop training programs and hiring plans for process tech team members as well as developing & maintain Standardized Manufacturing Instructions used in repair and rework by the process tech team members
  • Support issue resolution including root cause investigation & corrective action tracking
  • Ensure quality standards are being met throughout the entire rework process and support no defects escaping the process tech area
  • Manage repairs/troubleshooting exactly to instructed process
  • Enforce clear and standardized communication templates for transfer of knowledge between shifts and stakeholders

What You'll Bring
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams of people in a high volume manufacturing setting, Fremont Powertrain or Gigafactory Nevada preferred
  • Demonstrates adherence to EHS regulations and standards and leads by example
  • Strong organization and record-keeping skills with strong attention to detail to maintain team accountability
  • Ability to work with and develop production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, throughput, costs)
  • Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
  • Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills; able to interface with executives and leaders on a daily basis
  • Must have command of the English language

    Expected Compensation
    $80,000 - $120,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
