Job Description:

The Paid Communications Consultant plays a key role on the Media and Partnership Strategy Team within Marketing, leading integrated campaigns across business units, including Chase Acquisition & ECM, Cargo, Southwest Business, and Talent Acquisition. This strategic communicator develops and executes paid media plans that drive revenue, lead generation, and brand awareness, leveraging Customer insights and performance data. They'll manage budgets across digital and traditional channels, ensuring optimization and strong ROI. As a media expert, they advocate for paid media priorities, stay ahead of industry trends, and foster a collaborative, solution-oriented team culture.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the media agency to provide clear direction and context on media campaigns and initiatives to deliver plans that meet established media objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) on time and within budget
  • Articulate paid communication strategies to cross-functional teams, and act as an expert for questions or support pertaining to media
  • Deliver media campaigns on time, within budget, and within agreed upon scope
  • Ensure campaigns have pre-determined, measurable KPIs
  • Analyze media data to optimize and diagnose performance issues, articulating key drivers of media nuances
  • Manage large paid media budget
  • Show proficiency in digital activation, testing and understanding of digital ad tech and tools, including but not limited to site pixels, tagging, trafficking and targeting capabilities
  • Utilize research, analyze data, identify trends, and develop insights that can be used to inform media strategies
  • Communicate effectively to direct leaders and across teams in multiple departments and represent the Media Team's point of view to other teams
  • Leverage consumer insights/behavior to ensure media delivers the right message at the right time to the right person
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of digital media flow and how advertising is enabled through technology
  • Knowledge of how media intersects with data privacy, in partnership with Data Privacy Office and Legal
  • Knowledge of how DSPs work, the vendors in the space, and how third-party data is leveraged
  • Skilled in strategic thinking with the ability to drive process improvement and see the bigger picture
  • Skilled in mathematics, analytics, and problem solving
  • Skilled in presenting and providing commentary to internal stakeholders
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to handle high volumes of work while prioritizing effectively and hitting promised deadlines
  • Ability to remain current on all updates and advancements in the ad tech industry and how it affects paid media
Education
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
  • Advanced level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
    • Paid media (video , audio, display, OOH, print, SEO/SEM, inclusive of programmatic buying)
  • Preferred: Working knowledge of MRI, Adobe, and pivot tables
Licensing/Certification

  • Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines

Pay & Benefits:

Competitive market salary from $95,750 per year to $106,400 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
