Introduction to the Job

As a Project Lead in the Product Development Group at the Cymer Light Source Division of ASML, you help drive technological innovation that shapes the future of semiconductor manufacturing. You will contribute to ASML's mission of unlocking the potential of people and technology, enabling the world's leading chipmakers to deliver faster, smaller, and more energy-efficient solutions. Your work as Project Lead supports teams in San Diego, CA and influences the next generation of light source technology.

Role and Responsibilities

In the Project Lead role, you will guide multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex product development projects on time and within scope. You act as a bridge between technical experts, stakeholders, and management, ensuring project goals are understood and achieved.

  • Lead project planning, execution, and delivery for new light source products.
  • Maintains a deliverables plan according to the triple constraints of timing, resources and scope
  • Manages resources in a team of ~10 cross-functional contributors and take operational responsibility within projects
  • Identifies bottlenecks and/or improvement opportunities within the project or team, coordinates with peer stakeholders to mitigate issues, and escalates for needed help when necessary
  • Assesses technical risk and create mitigation plans
  • Coordinate tasks across engineering, design, and operations teams.
  • Facilitate clear communication between project members and stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to stay on schedule.
  • Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Report regularly on project status and outcomes to leadership.
Education and Experience

You bring strong technical and leadership skills to the Project Lead position. You have:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, physics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading projects (Masters degree, 6 years Bachelors) in product development, preferably in optics, semiconductor, or high-tech industries.
  • Overseeing multiple concurrent activities is required
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project and collaboration platforms like Teams or SharePoint.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and global environments.
  • Experience leading electrical design projects is preferred
  • Knowledge of DUV laser system is preferred

Other Information
  • This position is located on-site in San Diego, CA . It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation. A flexible workplace arrangement may be available when job duties are conducive to remote work.
  • May require travel (specify domestic and/or international) dependent on business needs, up to 10%

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:

$133,500-222,500

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
