We are looking for an SVP, Information Technology to lead our Infrastructure team.

The SVP, Information Technology will lead the strategic and operational management of our company's information and technology functions. This person will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of enterprise-wide IT systems, ensuring robust cybersecurity, and leveraging technology to drive business success.

Reporting to the CFO, this role demands a visionary leader who possesses a blend of deep technical expertise and strategic business acumen, focusing on accelerating modernization (Cloud/DevOps) while ensuring absolute regulatory compliance, operational resilience, and financial stewardship. As a key Business Relationship Manager, the SVP will integrate IT with business processes to enhance service delivery, improve end-user technologies, and support sustainable growth. Requirements

This position will be responsible for driving all aspects of Information Technology bank-wide via direct oversight and reporting of the IT Infrastructure, Operations, Planning and Delivery, and Information Security teams. Key areas of responsibility include:

IT Strategy, Modernization, and Architecture

  • Strategic Roadmapping: Define and execute the 3-5 year IT and data strategy, ensuring alignment with key business drivers and maximizing the return on technology investment (ROI).
  • Modern Architecture: Drive the adoption of modern, agile infrastructure, specifically the AWS Cloud, and mandate the implementation of repeatable, auditable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards.
  • Secure Velocity (DevSecOps): Lead the implementation of robust DevOps and DevSecOps frameworks, emphasizing full automation for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to achieve secure, rapid deployments.
  • Financial Stewardship: Oversee comprehensive budgeting, cost control, and rigorous vendor optimization programs to continuously improve IT cost efficiency ratios.

Data Governance, AI Readiness, and Privacy

  • Data Governance Framework: Establish and continuously update the enterprise-wide data governance framework to improve data quality, reduce silos, and ensure consistent compliance across all business units.
  • AI/ML Data Readiness: Maximize the value of data assets by sourcing and preparing trusted, high-quality data necessary for training Machine Learning (ML) and Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Privacy & Security: Implement strict policies and controls to safeguard sensitive financial information, guaranteeing compliance with major data privacy regulations (e.g., GLBA, RFPA, and BSA).

Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance

  • KRI/KPI Management: Establish and operate an IT department managed through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), using KRIs as an early warning system for proactive vulnerability and risk identification.
  • Audit Oversight: Mandate and lead the successful preparation and navigation of all regulatory and third-party audits, ensuring IT practices meet stringent financial services requirements.
  • Cyber Resilience: Oversee comprehensive cyber alignment and operations, integrating resiliency planning (e.g., disaster recovery) as an inseparable component of infrastructure management.

Operational Excellence and Vendor Ecosystem Management

  • Service Delivery (ITIL): Ensure operational service delivery success grounded in ITIL best practices, overseeing robust Service Desk Management, Incident/Problem Management, and strict Change Management.
  • Third-Party (SaaS) Management: Execute extensive SaaS Vendor Management, including contract negotiation, cost optimization, overseeing SaaS integrations, and continuous measurement of third-party performance and compliance.
  • Business Partnership: Serve as the primary Business Relationship Manager (BRM), collaborating across departments to identify cross-selling opportunities and enhance the overall customer experience through technology.

Location: This is a hybrid role based out of our Operations Center in White River Junction, Vermont.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in information technology, with a focus on IT infrastructure, operations, and cybersecurity
  • 7 years of senior leadership experience managing large, complex infrastructure and engineering teams
  • Excellent people leader who leads by example and has demonstrated experience building highly effective teams, including mentoring and developing staff
  • Expertise in cloud platform governance (AWS preferred) and mandatory use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Experience implementing data/AI governance and cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Experience driving automation and process efficiency
  • Proven track record implementing business solutions.
  • Certifications such as CGEIT, CISM, CISSP or equivalent are highly desired.
  • Demonstrated senior-level experience leading a technology division within a heavily regulated environment, ideally banking.
  • Experience across a range of IT disciplines including infrastructure, networking, information security, data, application development, and SaaS
  • Expertise in managing third-party (SaaS) vendor ecosystems and compliance
  • Proven success in IT modernization and operational continuity
  • Strong track record with KPI/KRI frameworks and regulatory audits
  • Proven ability to manage multi-million dollar budgets within constraints
  • Excellent presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
