Overview:
Join a leading aerospace team supporting the production and testing of primary and secondary power generation systems. This hands-on engineering role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and modernizing test equipment used in electrical and power system validation. Most work is bench-based, with occasional on-site support in the production environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Troubleshoot and repair electronic test and power equipment of various types and vintages using safe and proven methods.
* Reverse-engineer obsolete circuits and design replacement boards or assemblies as needed.
* Research and evaluate new components or instruments to replace obsolete hardware; collaborate with engineers on selection and validation.
* Create and maintain project documentation, including wiring schematics, material lists, and operating procedures.
* Use engineering and documentation tools such as Microsoft OneNote, Visio, and AutoCAD LT.
* Collaborate with calibration and test teams to ensure accurate equipment functionality and performance.
* Provide technical support and mentorship to technicians during test equipment repair and setup.

Required Qualifications:
*Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related field.
*3+ years of hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic and power systems equipment.
*Strong understanding of analog and digital components, including OP amps, IGBTs, MOSFETs, SCRs, and logic circuits.
*Proficiency with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, etc.).
*Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
*Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; able to explain findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
*Self-starter with curiosity and initiative-comfortable working independently or in small teams.
*Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
*Experience with programmable logic devices (Allen Bradley, Siemens, National Instruments).
*Familiarity with LabVIEW, RSLogix 5000, or Studio 5000 environments.
*Ability to write or modify small code snippets in C/C++, Visual Basic, or similar languages for troubleshooting purposes.
*Knowledge of variable frequency drives (VFDs) and industrial control systems.
*Background in aerospace or defense test environments.

Belcan provides a competitive pay and benefits package. Benefits offered MAY include health, dental, vision, and life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and paid leave required by law. Salary guidelines for similar roles at Belcan are $34.00-44.00 per hour. Guidelines vary based on many factors including but not limited to education, qualifications, experience, discipline, geographic location, market, and business considerations.
